BOTTLE-TOP SEA SCENE

You will need:

  • Corrugated card
  • Bordette
  • Wiggle eyes
  • Glitter glue
  • Funky foam
  • Pipecleaners
  • Glue

Instructions:

  1. On a sheet of blue corrugated card, glue some strips of blue bordette to create waves.
  2. Decorate bottle tops using google eyes, glitter glue and permanent markers.
  3. Create tails/fins/legs using feathers, funky foam and pipecleaners.
  4. Glue your sea creatures onto the background!

SIMPLE SEAHORSE

You will need:

  • Paper plate
  • Markers
  • Paint
  • Glitter glue
  • Sequins
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Cut a paper plate in half.
  2. Trace/draw a seahorse onto the curved edge and cut it out.
  3. Paint and decorate using poster paint, glitter glue and sequins to your hearts content!

FUNKY FOAM FLIP-FLOP

You will need:

  • Funky foam
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Pipecleaners
  • Beads

Instructions:

  1. Layer together 4 sheets of self-adhesive funky foam.
  2. Trace flip flop template onto the funky foam and cut out.
  3. Pierce 3 holes for strap to thread though.
  4. Push a length of pipecleaner through centre hole, then Thread some beads onto it before securing it through the other hole.
  5. Repeat for the other strap.

BUSY BEE JAMBOREE

You will need:

  • Yellow pompoms (2 sizes)
  • Black pipecleaners
  • Google eyes
  • Modelling wire
  • White funky foam
  • Terracotta pot
  • Yellow paint
  • Gold pipecleaners

Instructions:

  1. Paint your terracotta pot yellow, and coil a pipecleaner round it and glue into place.
  2. Glue a small pom pom to a larger one and wrap a black pipecleaner round it as stripes.
  3. Cut 2 wings from the foam and glue on as wings.
  4. Attach wiggle eyes.
  5. Finally, glue a piece of modelling wire onto the bee and glue the other end into the hole underneath the flower pot (the flower pot is used upside down)!

DAFFODIL WINDMILL

You will need:

  • Yellow card
  • Orange egg box
  • Paper fastener
  • Wooden stick
  • Green pipecleaner
  • Foam/sponge
  • Flower pot

Instructions:

  1. Cut a square in yellow card (the size will determine the size of your daffodil).
  2. Fold corners diagonally.
  3. Cut along each diagonal, stopping about an inch or so before the centre.
  4. Fold each point in towards the centre and hold as you do the next point, then pierce a paper fastener through them to secure.
  5. Cut out a section of the egg box and glue into postion in the middle of the flower.
  6. Wrap a pipecleaner around the daffodil and glue into the flower.
  7. Push the wooden stick into the foam in the flower pot and you are done!

POLYBALL CLOUDS

You will need:

  • Canvasses of various sizes
  • Polyballs of various sizes
  • Pva glue

Instructions:

  1. Using a knife, cut the polyballs in half.
  2. Glue randomly to the canvasses – ta dah!

TISSUE FLOWERS IN POTS

To make the actual flowers click on instructions here.

You will need:

  • Tissue paper
  • Wooden sticks
  • Green pipecleaners
  • Pva glue
  • Terracotta flower pots
  • Foam/sponge

Instructions:

Once your flower is made….

  1. Add glue to the underneath of the flower.
  2. Wrap a wooden stick with a green pipecleaner to make the stem.
  3. Insert into underneath of the flower.
  4. Insert foam/sponge into flower pot and pierce wooden straw/flower into it.
  5. Add some brown tissue or crepe to look like soil and you are done!

SHELLBY THE CRAB

You will need:

  • Foam sheet (red)
  • Flower pot
  • Paint (red)
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Paint brush
  • Googly-eyes

Instructions:

  1. Paint the pot red and leave to dry.
  2. Using the scissors, cut a pair of pincers and 6 legs from the sheet of foam.
  3. When the paint has set, glue all of the cuttings onto the pot.
  4. Attach the eyes and you are done!

POLYBALL CLOUDS

You will need:

  • Polyballs (various sizes)
  • Glue
  • Canvas
  • Knife/scissors

Instructions:

  1. Carefully cut an assortment of polyballs in half.
  2. Spread glue over a small canvas and then arrange the polyballs how you wish.
  3. Leave to dry for at least an hour and then hang!

HAPPY BEE

You will need:

  • Yoghurt pot or similar
  • Yellow and black paper (or felt)
  • Glue
  • Yellow funky foam
  • Wiggle eyes
  • Pipecleaners
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • String

Instructions:

  1. Draw around the pot onto funky foam and cut this shape out to make the face of the bee.
  2. Cut strips of yellow and black paper out, gluing these around the pot to make the stripes.
  3. Carefully poke a hole in each side of the pot for the wings and one in the top to hang.
  4. Loop a pipecleaner and insert the ends into the hole in the pot. Tape the ends down on the inside to secure.
  5. Thread some string through the top hole in the pot and tape down.
  6. Glue two wiggle eyes onto the funky foam face.
  7. Glue around the edge of the funky foam face and press onto the end of the pot.
  8. Your bee is now ready to hang! Use different sizes of pots to make a whole bee family!
  9. As an extra idea why not make them using red and black felt to make ladybirds?

PAPER PLATE SUN

You will need:

  • Paper plate
  • Poster paint
  • Paper hand shapes
  • Wiggle eyes
  • Glue
  • Tape/string
  • Sponge

Instructions:

  1. Paint your paper plate and paper hands in a nice bright colour.
  2. Glue the hands onto the back of the paper plate to make the sun rays.
  3. Add wiggle eyes and smile onto the sun for its face.
  4. Sponge some paint onto the sun for cheeks.
  5. Tape a loop of string on the back to hang.
