You will need:

  • Shrink Plastic
  • Large Letter Stencils
  • Permanent Markers
  • Keychain
  • Pony Beads
  • Oven/Hairdryer/Heatgun

Instructions:

  1. Use large letter stencils and permanent marker to draw the word Mum onto half a sheet of shrink plastic.  Your design will eventually shrink to approx. 1/3 of the size.
  2. Don’t forget to draw on a loop at the top and punch a hole through this using a hole punch.
  3. Carefully cut it out and colour it using any type of permanent marker pens.  Place in the oven (refer to pack instructions), or heat with a hairdryer or heatgun until the plastic has shrunk and flattened.  It will curl up first, but will flatten out after a few minutes.
  4. Leave to cool, then add a key-chain and beads!
  5. This would also be a great idea for summer schemes – let children make their own names!
