Instructions:

1. Assemble frame and paint with a light base colour (eg. pink).
2. Lay the lacy edges of a doyley over the frame. Paint over the holes in the doyley with a contrasting colour (eg. silver). Carefully remove the doyley to leave behind the pattern.
3. Draw a picture or write a phrase or message (eg. ‘Mummy’) on a piece of card. The card must be small enough to fit inside the frame.
4. Stick a separate piece of coloured paper inside the frame. This will be the background. Stick your picture or message on top.
5. Glue some buttons around the frame.
