Instructions:

1. Cut a circle from red felt large enough to cover the raised part of the paper plate. Stick this on with fabric glue.
2. When the glue has dried fold the paper plate in half.
3. Stuff the plate with fabric scraps and staple the edges of the plate together.
4. Cut some white felt to go around the edge of the red and stick down. Then cut a thick (about 3 cm) strip of green felt to cover the edge of the paper plate. Stick this onto the plate leaving about a cm of the white felt visible.
5. Finish your slice of watermelon off by gluing on a few buttons to look like seeds.
