This year has brought special celebrations for us; as members, old friends and familiar faces who have helped create the Play Resource of today, joined together for our 30th Anniversary Event on Thursday 5th December 2013.
It was a great afternoon as we took a brief look back at the projects, support and resources provided to children and young people over the last 30 years as well as looking towards the exciting future that Play Resource is embarking upon.
Our guest speakers included; Anna O’Kane (Artist), Councillor Deirdre Hargey (Chairman of Development Committee, Belfast City Council), Roisin McDonough (Chief Executive, Arts Council of Northern Ireland), David Guilfoyle (Chief Executive, Youth Council for Northern Ireland), Tim Kerr (Chairperson) and our Director Anne O’Donoghue.
Jim Russell worked alongside children from the New Lodge Arts Junior Visual Class and the Midland Painting Group through Arts for All to create an exciting display for our celebration.
